Honda Civic Before and After PDR Hail Repair
Why Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Works
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) works because urethane paint is very resilient to cracking. You will be amazed at how much your car’s sheet metal can be stretched and re-formed to remove dents without disturbing its paint. Also, we are very delicate with our pushes so as to not push too hard in any one spot. We push on the backside of your car’s sheet metal, over and over again, moving our dent repair tool slightly each time.We do this very fast and it appears like we are “massaging the metal”. Actually, we are just pushing, bending, moving our tool a bit, and repeating the process. We us special LED and fluorescent lights to help guide our pushes. The key is knowing exactly where to push and knowing where you are pushing! That is the hard part. Give us a call!See the PDR Process
Door Ding on the Left Front Door of a Ford F150 Before and After Paintless Dent Repair
This White Ford F150 had a door ding in the driver’s side front door on the crease above a trim line. Creases like this one are most susceptible to door dings because they are the at the widest point of the door (the first line of defense from other car doors). As you can see from the after picture, we are able to completely remove the dent and restore the original shape!
Why PDR paintless dent repair doesn’t affect your car’s paint.
How your car’s paint is preserved with PDR.
The key to paintless dent repair is knowing exactly where to push on the backside of the sheet metal. When a seasoned PDR technician removes a dent on your vehicle, he doesn’t just bend the dent back with a few pushes. Because he knows exactly where he is pushing, he is able to push hundreds of times very close together until the dent disappears. Bending the dent out by pushing many times, close together, preserves your cars paint! We never push hard in only one spot.
And when there is a sharp center to the dent we removing, we knock he edges down with a Knockdown to make the dent more gradual. PDR is our specialty at Dent Biz. Please call us to get a better feel for your situation.
PDR from start to finish in three and a half minutes
Check out our 60 second PDR demonstration video
This video is a quick start to finish demonstration of how PDR works – by using specially designed tools to patiently bend the sheet metal of the car back to its original shape. This particular car is a Honda Pilot that took a hail beating in the Hail Storm of April 3rd, 2012.
At the 0:07 mark you can see the hail dent at the top of the door panel about 3″ from the front of the door. We use a specially designed LED light to guide our tool and deliberately bend the metal out, being careful not to bend it too much and crack the paint.
For this particular dent, we bend the metal several hundred times to return it to it’s original shape. At the 0:51 mark (compressed time – the actual time is 3:30), the dent is completely gone – not even visible under our LED lights!

Hail Damage on Roof of an Audi A4 Before and After Paintless Dent Repair
This hail dent on the roof of an Audi A4 came out perfectly! Dark paint colors are notorious for showing minor dents, so we use special LED lights that help us identify small imperfections in the reflection of the light. It takes a little longer, but the results speak for themselves.
Hail Damage on Front of Roof of a Toyota Camry Before and After Paintless Dent Repair
Hail dents that are close to the front or back of a roof are sometimes shaped with a crease that is parallel to the windshield. The crease, along with the close proximity to the windshield make this a challenging dent to remove. As you can see in the after picture, we are able to remove the dent completely – no need for body work or paint.
